Dave Corey is a Production Designer with over 15 years experience making commercials, promos, music videos and occasionally television and feature projects.

Dave loves the process of filmmaking and the constant challenges that are presented to him as a production designer. Whether designing a large set build for the Foo Fighters, or figuring out how to get hundreds of balloons to pop when shot with a nerf gun for a TV game show, he loves discovering solutions to the never-ending how to questions.

Dave graduated with a BFA in Filmmaking from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Among other professors, he studied under Stan Brakhage, a luminary in the world of experimental film, whose work includes a series of films aimed at approximating and reproducing closed eye vision, or what we see when our eyes are closed. He accomplished this by literally painting on film. Dave was encouraged to experiment in similar fashions on 8mm and 16mm film.

In film school, Dave’s primary focus was documentary and his thesis film project,“Rock On Chicago – Wesley Willis”is a 25 minute piece detailing the life of Chicago street artist and musician Wesley Willis, who was diagnosed with chronic schizophrenia among myriad other mental and health issues and created a huge underground following for both his music and art.

Before moving to LA, Dave worked as a radio DJ for a syndicated radio program, interviewing artists from George Clinton to Jack White, and the Black eyed Peas to Radiohead.
